Hello, I'm Catharine, and I am a writer from the North East of England.
I write about art, music, fashion and beauty, and (my favourite subjects) food and travel. I am also a keen photographer and some of my articles have been accompanied by my own high quality digital images.
I am Travel Editor for La Di Da, a glossy print magazine based in the north of the UK. My portfolio also includes contributions to The Journal, the Evening Chronicle, the Sunday Sun, The Northern Echo and Living (Durham, Tees Valley & North Yorkshire) magazine.
In 2007 I spent two months as an intern with Chic Shopping Paris. During my time in Paris I attended fashion shows, visited as many museums and art galleries as I could and ate A LOT of cakes and croissants! My musings on my adventures in the City of Light gave me my first writing project: a series of three columns entitled 'An English Woman in Paris' for my local newspaper.
Aside from writing I enjoy interior design, French cinema, camping, cooking, learning languages and collecting books on Paris. My collection includes an 1868 copy of Baedeker's Paris, and much-loved tomes by Art Buchwald and Kate Simon; both of whom I admire greatly as writers.
